Rest In Awesome

Yesterday a very amazing seventeen year old boy by the name of Michael Mason met his final resting place. Mason was loved by many. He was the only person who could say your name and make you beam from ear to ear. I've known Mike for over thirteen years now and will always cherish those days. Just days before his death I spoke to him for the first time in months and he again made me smile when my name came from his lips. Mason was different the many other guys. When you said 'hi' to him his mind and attention was on you and you alone until you were done talking and he could talk to you for hours. Mike Mason praised everyone, the athletes, the artists, the intelligent and the care free. Mason was a musician and his original songs would fill the main entrance of BHS every morning by either his guitar or a piano. As well as being a musician Mike was an athlete, and was a member of our very own football team. Today BHS Bengal Marching Band's drum line is paying a tribute to Michael Mason. Our two snare drums are dressed the number 30, Mike's jersey number, and a tribute banner hangs from our single quints. As well as the drum line giving our fellow musician a tribute the football team will run onto that away field with Mike in the hearts and his number displayed on their helmets. Yesterday the entire school wept as Michael Mason procession went past our high school bringing Michael to his resting place. That day started out as a bright shining day just like Mason was and immediately started pouring after we all knew he was gone forever. We love you Mason. Rest in Awesome like the way you lived it.

Support our Troops

You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He patrols the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.

He's told he will be held over an extra 2 months.
You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.

He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.

He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.

You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remembers why he is fighting.

You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like him.
He hears the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.

You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the broken bodies lying around him.

You are asked to do some thing by your parents. You don't.
He does exactly what he is told even if it puts his life in danger.

You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.

You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.
He tries to sleep but gets woken by mortars and helicopters all night long.

Our Troops have done so much for us and never ask for a thank you, money galore or the praise of others. They do what they have to to keep us safe. They loose their lives just so you can bad mouth them about how corrupt and fucked up they are. They see little boys and girls with bombs strapped to their chest and are forced to kill them. They see gore like no other and see things that haunt them forever. So if you support our troops please if you see a man, or women in uniform go up and shake their hands, to show you support them

Something AMAZING

Okay so today I went to shoprite with my mom and brother. I had to pick up a few things as well as my mom and of course my seven year old brother wanted everything in sight....I couldn't blame him, I was like that at his age. Well I went off to get some of my stuff and when I found my mom she was in the isle that had vitamins. Now I've never been a big fan of vitamins, especially when I was younger, but with my weak joints from two surgeries I decided I'd get them. Now I didn't get something like one a day women's, because I've gotten those and they made me so ill i had to stop taking them. So guess what I.....begged....my mom to let me get...Gummy Finding Nemo vitamins! *Squeals* You know you'd all be excited. Yes I read the box....adults can take them haha. they're a weird texture though. It's like biting into a piece of gum but it has the texture of sour patch kids, but they're not sour, though you can get sour ones if you'd like. Well I'm pretty excited okay. It makes me actually want to get up tomorrow morning to take them hahaha.(:

Will Grayson, Will Grayson- John Green, David Levithan

Will Grayson, Will Grayson was co written by the two amazing authors John Greek and David Levithan. Mind you in is the first book I've read by these two authors, but it was much more enjoyable then any other book I've ever read. It is about two high school students with the same name but they are complete opposites in so many ways imaginable. The only thing they really have in common is their names. Now I don't want to give away too many things to you because the joy of the book is to let things unfold and let them finally make sense to you.

John Green is an amazing nerdfighter, along with his younger brother and musician Hank Green. To learn more about these two men go to their youtube channel youtube.com/vlogbrothers. They vlog back and forth to each other about many things, and it is such a joy to watch.

A few books I am also dying to read by John Green is Paper Towns and Looking For Alaska. If you know more about these books please tell me I would love to know.

For all the girls out there

"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you' re just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, thats her..."

The most important thing for a girl to do is be yourself and only be looked at as yourself. Find that guy who loves you for yourself. Girls aren't born plastered with make up. It isn't a permanent thing and will be washed off at the end of each day. Why would you want someone to love you for something not permanent? Every girl wants to be cherished. Treated like a princess by one single boy, one single man. Every man should see the women as a princess. Perfect in every ways, including her flaws, which should be cherished the most. Love is not sex. It is not a display. It is what grows and develops inside of your heart. If a man sees you for your appearance, let him go. If he sees you for your words, your thoughts your flaws and your heart hold him close. Because there is only a handful of those men, so cherish him as much as he cherishes you.

Welcome!
